Gehenna does take a little time to load and I never created a load screen so please be patient with load process. You also need to click on the Java screen a few times occasionally to make sure the Applet has focus. Yummy!

Controls:

Arrows Control Movement. Space Bar fires Magic Bolts. Q, quits the game in progress.

The Gehenna Applet was the second Java program I ever attempted to write. It was originally written using Java 1.0.6 and eventually made its way to Java 1.1. The version presented has only minor updates to make sure it will still run using more modern Java versions. I must say that working on Gehenna was a very fun project and I am disappointed that I never really finished programming it. Times have changed and so has technology so I must move on.
